This document is meant to be a historical retrospect of the development of the United States of America and how it affects us today; a forward-looking perspective of where the nation may go; and a collaborative intervention for each American to consider how every individual may contribute to reach the ultimate reconciliation of our Founding Fathers vision.

I am attempting to write this blog to speak plain language to the American people in the same manner that Thomas Paine did in Common Sense when he first challenged the authority of the British government and the royal monarchy regarding independence from Great Britain. We the American People, need to now challenge our leaders in Washington, the President, the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court with regard to all of our rights, privileges, and responsibilities that our Forefathers envisioned in our constitution. Yes, times have changed and yes, technology has changed, but the American democracy has always been changing. Many aspects of our democracy do need updating, but not at the cost of losing our liberties and ideals. Remember that We, the American People, control the government and that the government does not control us.

There are three working definitions as they relate to this blog.

Summary: A Clown is a person who people think is bad and disapprove of because the person behaves in a coarse, clumsy, rude, boorish, buffoon-like manner, who is incompetent and acts in stupid ways.

Summary: A Statesman is an experienced, highly respected, widely known and influential political leader who is wise and exhibits great ability and devotion to public service.

Summary: An intervention is the action or process of a confrontation by a caring person or group of people in an attempt to persuade them to address and improve a situation.

For purposes of this blog, I am classifying interventions:

  1. The act of interfering (intervening) with the outcome especially of a condition or a process (as to prevent harm or improve functioning).

  2. The interference of a country in the affairs of another country for the purpose of compelling it to do (such as, human rights issues) or forbear doing certain acts (such as genocide), and

  3. When an occurrence in which a country with a problem(s) is confronted by its citizens whose sole purpose is to compel the government to acknowledge and deal with the problem(s).

These definitions, for our purposes, are only in the application toward any and all, current and former, Presidents, Senators, House of Representative members and Supreme Court Justices.

WHEN WE ELECT CLOWNS, WE HAVE BOUGHT TICKETS TO THE CIRCUS!!!

Remember, the number one job of many politicians, in this day and age, is not to be a statesman, but to get re-elected!!! It appears clear to me that we, generally speaking, elect clowns.
